2. Collection and storage of personal data; type, purpose and use

By only visiting and viewing of web pages available at my web address, none of your personal data are being collected, stored, or processed. My website does not use cookies.
If you make an inquiry or place an order with me, whether by e-mail using the contact details on said website, phone, fax or by any other means of communications, the following information will be collected:

    • Salutation; title, if any; first name; last name
    • Address
    • E-mail address
    • Phone number (fixed line and/or mobile)
    • Fax number, where appropriate

In addition thereto, any information necessary for the fulfillment of the contract with you will be collected.

Such collection of personal data is made:

    • To be able to identify you as a customer;
    • To be able to render appropriate advice to you;
    • To be able to meet my contractual obligations owed to you;
    • To be able to comply with any legal requirements;
    • To correspond with you;
    • To issue invoices and, where necessary, to perform dunning processes;
    • To be able to enforce any claims I may have against you.

The processing of your personal data is performed on the occasion of your inquiry with me and is necessary for the above stated purposes in processing your inquiry or order as well as in performance of any obligations under the underlying contract.

The personal data so collected will be stored until the expiry of the statutory period of retention applicable to merchants (i.e. 6, 8 or 10 years following the end of the calendar year during which the contractual relationship ended) and will thereafter be deleted. As an exception, the foregoing does not apply in cases where I am required to keep such data stored for a longer period based on statutory retention obligations under tax or trade law (provided for in the German Commercial Code (HGB), Criminal Code (StGB) or General Fiscal Law (AO)) or where you have consented to a storage of such data for an extended period of time.

3. Disclosure of data to third parties

Generally there will be no transmission of personal data to any third parties.
Exceptions to the foregoing sentence only apply in cases where such disclosure is necessary in order to execute any contractual relationship with you, in particular including but not being limited to a disclosure to any service providers commissioned by me (so-called “Processors”) or any other third party the contribution of which is required in order to perform the contract (e.g. any translators for certain languages or courier companies employed to deliver the translated document(s) by shipment to your address). The data so transmitted may be used by such third parties only for the purposes mentioned above.

4. Your rights as the data subject

You as the subject of the processing of your data have several rights:

- Right of withdrawal: Any consent(s) given by you may be withdrawn at any time by notice to me. Any data processing based on the consent so withdrawn must thereupon be ceased and may no longer be continued.

- Right to information: You have the right to request information regarding your personal data processed by me. This applies in particular to the purposes of the processing of such data, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients, if any, the duration of storage and, where applicable, the origin of your data.

- Right of rectification: You have the right to request the rectification of any incorrect personal data or the completion of your personal data stored by me.

- Right of deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data stored by me, provided the processing of the same is not necessary for the purposes of executing the right to freedom of expression, the compliance with any legal requirements, on the grounds of public interest, or to assert, execute or defend any legal claims.

- Right to limit the processing: You have the right to request the processing of your personal data to be limited where (i) you contest the accuracy of such data; or (ii) such processing is unlawful but you are disapproving of the deletion of such data. You also have this right in cases where I do no longer need the data but you need the same in order to assert, execute or defend any legal claim. In addition, you have this right if you have objected to the processing of your personal data.

- Right to data portability: You have the right to request me to transfer to you your personal data provided to me in a structured, common, and machine-readable format. As an alternative and to the extent practicable, you may request that I transfer your personal data provided to me directly to another controller.

- Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority having jurisdiction over me, e.g. if you believe that I am processing your personal data in any unlawful manner.
